Learning & Development Strategy eLearning

This eLearning project was created to outline a Learning & Development (L&D) strategy for partners at a firm who were eager to improve their L&D framework. Inspired by the style of their website, I designed and developed this learning experience to be used as a tool when presenting my ideas and simultaneously giving the partners an example of what branded eLearning could look like for their company. Note: Although I did create this tool for an actual company, I have changed the company name and logo to a fictitious company for the purposes of my portfolio.

  • Audience: Executives and HR staff at small to mid-sized companies
  • Responsibilities: Visual Design, eLearning Development, Instructional Design
  • Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Tools

    Overview

I designed and developed this tab interaction for partners at a local firm who were interested in implementing a robust L&D strategy. My goal was to present my knowledge of instructional design and L&D through an interactive learning experience, which was successful in engaging my audience and earning positive reviews.

    Process

I began by creating an eLearning style guide for the company based on their website and logo. I utilized this style guide to build out the tab interaction with Articulate Storyline eLearning software. Under the hood, there are several animations, triggers, and layers to pull off this attractive, interactive learning experience. Within a few hours, I had a finished product that was ready for feedback. After two days of testing and gathering feedback from my professional network, I improved my design with small edits to enhance user experience.

    Results & Takeaways

I received outstanding feedback for this project, both from the executives who I created the eLearning experience for and colleagues in my professional network. The qualitative data I collected included that others thought the project was aesthetically pleasing, attention grabbing, and explained a complex strategy in easy-to-understand terms.
